Mission Statement

 

The Objectives of the Lift Engineering Society of Australia Inc.  

 

• To foster safety in design, installation and use of lifts (elevators), escalators, moving walks and like equipment.

• To encourage the acquisition and interchange of technical knowledge freely given.

• To promote correct selection, specification of equipment, operating standard and performance in the design of premises.

• To assess proposed and existing Government Regulations and provide ‘feedback’ as considered appropriate

• To receive papers prepared by members and guest speakers.

• To meet at regular intervals for the purpose of achieving its aims and objectives.

• To encourage technological development of lifts (elevators), escalators, moving walks and like equipment.

• To comment on matters affecting public interest where the Society considers this appropriate.
